Nike is expected to announce Monday it will add more than 500 shoes to the growing list of footwear brands it owns.
The announcement is the latest in a series of Nike acquisitions, as the footwear giant continues to add to its portfolio of brands and brands that it owns in a bid to broaden its portfolio.
The footwear company is also reportedly in talks with fashion brands to sell some of its own shoes.
Nike’s purchase of Nike Air Jordan, which it acquired in 2008, has raised eyebrows from some observers.
The shoe company has a long history of selling footwear and apparel.
It has owned a number of brands over the years, including Burberry, Timberland, Under Armour, Underoath, Puma and Nike.
