A man who stole a $20,000 car from a gas station in Washington State was sentenced to a year in prison Wednesday for his role in the crime.
David Smith, 30, pleaded guilty to three felony counts of theft and tampering with evidence.
The thefts took place in March and April of 2018.
Smith pleaded guilty in February to a charge of conspiracy to commit a crime for a car theft and to a theft of property for which he was sentenced in August 2018.
The stolen car was found abandoned on a residential street in Olympia, Washington, about 40 miles from Seattle.
Smith had been arrested the previous month on the theft charge.
He was released on a $100,000 bond after serving nearly a year behind bars.
